[Biography]
Laetiçia Emmanuel is a New York-based teaching artist and Pilates Instructor. Born in Brussels, Belgium and raised in New York, Laetiçia received her early movement training at a local dance school. At age 16, she was awarded a scholarship to attend the Long Island High School for the Arts and continued her professional training at The Ailey School and California Institute for the Arts. She holds a BFA in Arts Management with a Minor in Dance and Theater Arts from Long Island University.
Laetiçia has worked with Christal Brown, Noemie LaFrance and Sebastian Sabatier-Curial. Film credits include Davis Lacy’s documentary “The African Burial Ground Project” and Jim Augustine’s award-winning short film, “The Audition.” Laetiçia is a guest faculty member at Broadway Dance Center and she has taught Master Classes for the school’s Educational Programming Department.
